Right now in times of pandemic uncertainty, more people are working from home, overseas holidays are shelved for another year, and new social bubbles of family members and close friends have emerged. We’re spending more times in our homes, so there’s a need to enhance our daily space to increase the pleasure of “in” being the new “out”!
At the same time, larger gatherings for big events have been postponed for a year or more in an era where traditional hospitality venues are coping with more stringent regulations, and so the home becomes more important as the meeting point for celebrations, albeit on a smaller scale than we’ve previously enjoyed.
We don’t restyle our homes very often – probably a once in 5 or 10 years activity! Furnishings and colour schemes tend to stay the same for years, and the only time we really think about enhancing the interior with extra decoration is at Christmas.
